The nobility is a very important component of social classes in Britain from the 16 th century to the 18 th century.A systematic study of its evolution in this period is helpful to our deeper understanding of the development of the British society.This thesis tries to examine the British nobility as a whole from the economic,political,and cultural perspectives and thus present an objective assessment.
