The impressions of the 2018 JEC world composites exhibition were reviewed,the prepreg tapes,components and manufacturers of different kinds of fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin matrix composites were emphasized,especially application of high-performance advanced thermoplastic composites--continuous carbon fiber reinforced polyether ketone ketone(PEKK)and poly(ether-ether-ketone)(PEEK)prepreg in large aeronautical components and oil and gas high pressure pipelines.Moreover,plant fibers reinforced degradable thermoplastic green composites were reviewed,including novel continuous flax fiber reinforced polylactic acid prepreg tapes and related products.The development status quo and trend of thermoplastic prepreg in the world were summarized,and some suggestions on the development of the material in China were put forward.
