鉴往知来 踏上考古新征程——纪念陕西省考古研究院成立六十年

Reflecting on the Past, Envisioning the Future, and Preparing for the New Milestone of Archaeological Research: A Celebration for the 60th Anniversary of the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology

2018年,陕西省考古研究院建院六十年。几代学人秉持"探索保护、传承弘扬"的宗旨,以保护文化遗产、挖掘文物价值与揭示国家文明为己任,克勤攻坚,重要考古发现层出不穷,为陕西经济文化建设作出了重要贡献。近十年来,陕西省考古研究院秉持立足田野的传统,积极探索考古基地结合区域考古的新模式,打造"四个结合"为核心理念的考古研究工作体系,强化科研成果导向,坚持服务国家战略,成绩斐然。即将建设的"陕西考古博物馆",为全面提升硬件建设和科研实力,打造国际一流考古研究机构,奠定坚实基础。

This year is the 60th anniversary of the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology.Reviewing our achievements in these years,our colleagues and predecessors of several generations embrace the key motto‘exploration,conservation,transmission,and promotion’and uphold the vision of preserving cultural heritage and of promoting the value of cultural relics as well as state’s civilization as our major goal.Sticking to these principles,our colleagues’hard work has led to various new discoveries and significant contribution to the cultural and economic construction in Shaanxi.In recent decades,our institute dedicates to conducting solid archaeological fieldwork and explores a new research paradigm through combining the investigation of areas surrounding workstations with regional surveys.Also,we apply the so-called‘fourcombination’as our philosophy to gradually establish our own fieldwork and research system.Meanwhile,we also emphasize on other important guidelines,including encouraging more result-oriented scientific research and adhering to serving to the national development strategies.All results achieved are remarkable and significant.In the future,we will continue to dedicate to our work for developing‘Archaeological Museums in Shaanxi’.We will upgrade our research and other facilities in order to make our institute an internationally top-ranked institute in the academic world.
