广西世代居着汉、壮、侗、苗、瑶、仫佬、仡佬、毛南、彝、水、京、回族等十二个民族,各民族和睦相处,文化多元共生。各民族在自身的文化符号系统中强化着民族认同,同时每一个民族的文化符号也隐藏着民族间的文化认同的证据,在民族语言符号和民族身份、民族艺术符号、民族节日、人生礼仪、居住等文化符号中体现出了族际文化认同,在此基础上构建出了和谐的民族关系。广西各民族的文化符号又沉淀出了温和、包容、谦和的民族性格,促进了广西民族关系的和谐。

Guangxi has inhabited twelve nationalities,such as Han,Zhuang,Dong,Miao,Yao,Mulao,Gelao,Maonan,Yi,Shui,Jing and Hui.All ethnic groups live in harmony and cultural diversity.Each ethnic groups strengthen its national identity in its own cultural symbol system.At the same time,there is evidence about cultural identity among nations in the cultural symbol of each ethnic groups,such as national language symbols,national identity,national art symbols,national festivals,life rituals,and residential symbols,building a harmonious ethnic relationship.The cultural symbols of all ethnic groups in Guangxi have precipitated a mild,tolerant and modest national character,which has promoted the harmony of ethnic relations in Guangxi.
