摘要
本文从吕大临与程颐关于“中”的讨论说起,详细疏解了“中”这一概念的含义。笔者认为,“中”并非指过度与不足之间的平衡,这种从程度层面的理解以西方亚里士多德为典型。“中”应当从本心层面来理解,本文将对吕大临、李侗、刘宗周等人就此有关的思想加以参照比对,从而梳理出儒家一条本质的但尚未突出的“求中”之工夫进路。在今日儒学复兴之际,澄清“中”这个被中国人普遍使用的概念的真正含义,对去除人们的误解和偏见有紧迫而重大的意义。
In this paper,we begin with the discussion of“Zhong”between Lu Yushu and Cheng Yichuan to explicate the meaning of the concept of“Zhong”.In my view,“Zhong”does not mean the balance between excess and deficiency.This level of understanding is typical of the Western Aristotle.“Zhong”should be understood from the true nature of Mind.A reference and comparison on the relevant thoughts will be made among Lu Yushu,Li Yanping and Liu Jishan etc.In this paper.An essence but not yet outstanding morality-route of“Seeking Zhong”of Confucianism will be cleared up.In today s revival of Confucianism,to clarify the true meaning of the concept of“Zhong”which is widely used by the Chinese,is of great urgency and significance for the removal of prejudices that are generally misunderstood.
