This paper reviews the development of Mayor’s transport strategy in Greater London.The fundamental architectures are shaped by the structure of contents and logics.The features of strategies are summarized as follows:context of topics,tactics and measurements,procedure of implementation and policy instruments.The interaction relationships between mayor’s transport strategy and spatial development strategy are also identified.The evolution characteristics of strategies are concluded into three stages:“exploring the path,strategic planning,“inheritance deepening,integrated review”,“enhancing understanding and enriching the connotation.”Finally,some related respects are discussed further in detail,including basis of legislation,responsibility of mayor,evolution process,spatial re-ordering,people-oriented paradigm shifting and rational technique-based policy delivering.
