20世纪80年代,面对党情、国情和世情的新形势,中共十二届二中全会通过了《中共中央关于整党的决定》。本次全面整党是建党和建国以来,中国共产党进行的规模最大的整党整风运动。在全面整党的历史过程中,中共中央始终注意坚持民主集中制度、党内批评原则、群众路线方法,继承和发展了党的优良传统和作风,取得了良好的预期效果。联系现实可以看出,以习近平为核心的新一代领导集体"全面从严治党"的党建思路,对这场历时四年(1983-1987)的全面整党运动有新继承和新发展,因此具有深刻的当下启示。
