翻转课堂模式下英语学习投入与成绩的关系

Engagement with EEL Learning and Its Effect on Academic Achievement with Flipped Classroom Model

学习投入是影响学生学习过程和学习结果的重要因素,增加和改善学生的学习投入是教师和学校的共同目标。目前外语学习投入研究越来越受到人们的重视,但相关研究成果仍然不足,有关翻转课堂教学模式下的外语学习投入研究更是难得一见。本研究以非英语专业大学生为研究对象,采用结构方程建模等研究方法,考察翻转课堂教学模式下,大学生英语学习情感投入与行为投入的构成及其与学习成绩的关系。研究发现,翻转课堂教学模式下,大学生英语学习情感投入和行为投入都是多维构念;行为投入对学习成绩产生直接的显著预制作用;情感投入对学习成绩不产生直接预制作用,但通过行为投入的中介作用对学习成绩构成间接的影响。

Academic engagement is one of the major factors influencing students learning process and outcome and increasing academic engagement is one of the goals for both teachers and schools.Engagement with EFL learning is getting more attention,but there are still limitations in the existing studies and few studies have investigated engagement with EFL learning under flipped classroom model.Taking non-English majors as subjects and employing exploratory factor analysis and structural equation modeling,this article examined the components of affective engagement and behavioral engagement with EFL learning under flipped classroom model and the mechanism of their effect on academic achievement.The findings indicated that affective engagement and behavioral engagement are both multi-constructs;2)behavioral engagement has a direct effect on academic achievement;3)affective engagement,mediated by behavioral engagement,has an indirect effect on academic achievement.
