English Writers'Impression on China-in the View of Printed Books in the 16th and 17th Century

15~16世纪地理大发现之后,为配合海外扩张,欧洲各国耶稣会士肩负着传播天主教义的使命,前仆后继奔赴中华帝国,在以西方先进的科学技术服务于中国世俗社会的同时,也学习研究中国文化,著书立说,报道中国情况,向西方传播中国的文明。然而,中西两种思想文化并非单向传播,而是经历了多次冲撞与较量。早在西方科技东来之前,丝绸、茶叶、瓷器等中国风物便已传到欧洲,掀起了16~18世纪的“中国热”和“中国化”思潮,对德、法、英等国的思想文化产生了多方面的深远影响。
