The paper holds that popularization of science will improve the construction of urban civilization.The ur-ban community is the platform of popularization of science and popularization of science in urban communities can enhance residents’living quality and communities’cultural connotation,which is one of the tasks of urban commu-nities’.Urban communities are the key places to provide colorful cultural activities and benefit people,e.g.the popu-larization of medical science will help improve residents’health.The personnel in charge of popularization of sci-ence in urban communities are the messengers who shoulder the responsibility of satisfying residents and increasing the dividends of popular science and therefore,the personnel should be the experts in this field.
