晚清女报与近代中国女性小说创作的发生——以《女子世界》为观察中心

Women's press in the late Qing dynasty and the emergence of Chinese women's fiction in early modern times: An inquiry into Women's World

清末民初时期,作为新兴媒体的报刊为中国近代小说的发展提供了至关重要的文化空间。女性小说创作也不例外,其作品大多首先载于报刊,从数量观之,则以女报为最。本文以晚清重要报刊《女子世界》为"集散地",考察晚清女报的编者对于女性报刊体例、编辑方针和栏目设置等方面的构想为中国女性小说创作发生提供的制度上的铺垫。

In the late Qing dynasty and the early Republic of China,the press,as a new medium,provided a vital cultural space for the development of modern Chinese novels.The women s fiction was no exception,as most of its works were initially published in the press.In terms of quantity,women's press took the dominant place.Taking Women's World,an important press in the late Qing dynasty,as the starting point,this paper examines the editor's conception of the style,editorial policy and column designs for the women's press,and explores the institutional foundation for the emergence of Chinese women's fiction.
