A study was presented in the paper below on the causes of prosperity and declination of Wuhu iron picture in the history through an elaboration about its historical origin and aesthetic orientation together with some strategies to develop the artistic form in the new age on the basis of a description of its current situation,aiming to help the folk art out of difficulties and regain its glories.
