南宋诗人徐似道的生平多有模糊和缺失之处。通过考证,可以得知其生卒年(1144-1212)。进士及第之后,徐似道历任吴江县尉、吴县尉、绍兴府户曹、绍兴府学教授、太和县令、苏州通判、官告院主管、郢州知州、礼部员外郎、司封郎官、权直翰林院、起居舍人、江西提刑等职。期间,多有诗文创作,以诗人之名闻名于时。所著《竹隐集》十一卷,亡佚于宋末元初。

There are ambiguities and vacancies in the life of Xu Sidao,a poet in the Southern Song dynasty.It can be verified that he was born in 1144 and died in 1212.After passing the imperial examination and becoming one of the three top scholars,Xu Sidao served successively as an official just below the head of the Wujiang county and Wu county,official in charge of farmers and farming and then in charge of education in Shaoxing,County Magistrate in Taihe,Administrative Aide in Suzhou,supervisor in charge of personnel files,provincial administrative official in Yingzhou,clerk in the Ministry of Rites,civilian in Sifeng,official in National Academy,official in charge of recording imperial commands and state affairs,provincial judicial official in Jiangxi.He was also well known as a poet for his productivity of poetic creation.11 volume book of Zhu Yin Ji was lost at the end of the Song dynasty and the beginning of the Yuan dynasty.
