国防教育是国防体系的重要组成部分,对于培育人民群众国防意识、提升综合素质及储备国防后备人才有着深远的意义。作为国防教育工作的重要阵地,高等学校国防教育工作经过长期探索和实践,取得了显著成果。但由于思想、历史和现实的原因,新时期我国高等学校国防教育仍然存在诸多问题,也面临着新的机遇。

National defense education is an important part of national defense system,which has far-reaching significance for cultivating people's national defense consciousness,improving comprehensive quality and reserving reserve talents of national defense.As an important position of national defense education,the work of national defense education in colleges and universities has achieved remarkable results after a long period of exploration and practice.However,due to ideological,historical and practical reasons,there are still many problems and new opportunities in the national defense education of colleges and universities in China in the new period.
