新时代党面临新形势、新任务,这对加强和改进高校学生党建工作提出了新思想、新导向和新要求。习近平总书记在2016年全国高校思想政治工作会议上指出:"高校思想政治工作关系高校培养什么样的人、如何培养人以及为谁培养人这个根本问题。要坚持把立德树人作为中心环节,把思想政治工作贯穿教育教学全过程,实现全程育人、全方位育人,努力开创我国高等教育事业发展新局面。"

Entering a new era,the Party is facing new situations and new tasks.New and more urgent demands have been put forward for strengthening and improving the work of Party building.General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out at the National Conference on ideological and political work in Colleges and Universities on 2016:"ideological and political work in colleges and universities has a bearing on what kind of people are to be cultivated in colleges and universities.How to train people and for whom is the fundamental problem.We must persist in taking the cultivation of virtue as the central link and the ideological and political work running through the whole process of education and teaching,so as to realize the whole process of educating people and educating people in all directions.We should strive to create a new situation for the development of higher education in China."
