在美国的各种体裁文学作品中海洋一直都占据着主体地位。本文主要研究美国海洋小说的起源与发展,因为纵观对于美国海洋小说的研究发现,对于海洋小说的发展历程研究较少。美国海洋小说从无到有,经过了雏形期、成形期、繁荣期和稳定期这四个阶段,各个阶段都有其独有的特点。

The ocean has always occupied the dominant position in the various genres of literature in the United States.This paper mainly studies the origin and development of Marine Novels,because throughout the American Marine Novel researches,the researches for the developments are scarce.The American Marine Novels experienced four periods,embryonic period,forming period,booming period and stabilization period,each has its unique characteristics.
