Abstract General education embodies the core connotation of quality education.The difficulties of developing general education in independent colleges are as follows:being limited by the development of independent colleges,insufficient investment in educational resources,disconnection of educational content from the times,lack of effective quality of education,and insignificant impact on students'employment.In response to these difficulties,we must seek corresponding optimization strategies.
