Translators' Subjectivity in the Chinese Translations of Shakespeare's Drama from the Perspective of Bourdieu's Habitus Theory: Taking the Translations of "Hamlet" as an Example

皮埃尔·布迪厄是法国著名的社会学家,近几年他的社会关系理论逐渐地运用到翻译研究中。本文旨在以布迪厄的社会学理论的惯习理论为指导,探讨朱生豪、梁实秋和卞之琳等译者的译者惯习对其翻译动机、策略、风格造成的影响,从而凸显译者翻译活动中的主体性,进而探析其译作成为经典的深层原因。

Abstract Pierre Bourdieu is a famous French sociologist.In recent years his theory of social relations has gradually applied to translation studies.This paper aims to explore the influence of the habitus of translators such as Zhu Shenghao,Liang Shiqiu and Bian Zhilin on their translation motivation,strategy and style,which is guided by Bourdieu's habitus theory in his sociological theory,thus highlighting translators'subjectivity in translation activities,and then exploring the deep reasons why their translations become classics.
