The Influencing Factors of NIMBY Behavior:A Qualitative Meta-analysis

[目的/意义]邻避冲突作为一种典型的社会冲突,给社会稳定造成很大压力。探究邻避行为的影响因素,理解公众为何进行邻避抗争,有利于预防邻避冲突的发生。[方法/过程]首先,基于一定的筛选标准,得到66篇有关邻避行为的研究文献;然后,对上述文献进行摘录、编码和归类;最后,将文献所探讨的邻避设施分为三类:污染类、风险集聚类和污名化类,并按类对文献展开质性元分析。[结果/结论]影响邻避行为的因素有公众需求满足度、风险认知、政府行为与态度、环境因素、公共信任、邻避距离、邻避情结、公众内在特征、感知抗争成本和人口变量,其中,前三者为邻避行为的关键影响因素。在此基础上,分别提出公众面对污染类、风险集聚类和污名化类邻避设施时,其产生邻避行为的关键影响因素组合。

[Purpose/Significance]As a typical social conflict,NIMBY conflict puts a lot of pressure on social stability.Exploring the factors influencing NIMBY behavior and understanding the cause for citizens'involvement in NIMBY conflict are essential for prevention of the possible NIMBY conflicts.[Method/Process]First,based on a selection criterion,we collected 66 research papers,which were then analyzed by extracting,coding and classifying.Subsequently,we analyzed the papers collected by categorizing the NIMBY facilities discussed into three types which included pollution,risk clustering and stigmatization and conducted a qualitative meta-analysis.[Result/Conclusion]The influencing factors of NIMBY behavior are satisfaction of public demand,risk perception,government behavior and attitude,environmental factors,public trust,NIMBY distance,NIMBY syndrome,internal characteristics of the public,perceived fighting cost and population variable.Among them,the former three factors play a pivotal role.In addition,the key factors for explaining the public's NIMBY behaviors facing the three types NIMBY projects of pollution,risk clustering and stigmatization facilities is presented respectively.
