论“边民”与“跨界民族”的属性关系问题

ON THE PROPERTY RELATIONS BETWEEN INHABITANTS OF BORDER AREA AND CROSS-BORDER ETHNIC GROUPS

无论是作为地域对象考察的边疆研究,还是作为人文探讨的族群课题,"边民"和"跨界民族"均是目前国内各界关注边疆民族地区常用的主题词。然而,就当前对两个主题词的关注而言,仍有几个疑点或者模糊环节需要加以厘清和说明。一是各界对"边民"概念认知的不清晰和不统一,导致"边民"概念使用的泛化问题;二是由于"跨界民族"属性与概念不够完善,导致指涉对象存在争议及其与国家主体民族的关系模糊问题;三是在"跨界民族"关系研究中,"边民"与"跨界民族"之间的属性区别问题。

The terms of"border"and"cross-border ethnic"are two heated discussed issues in the area of the frontier minority research,with the former focusing on geographical aspect and the latter on humanity aspect.However,as far as the research of the two issues is concerned,there are still some questions or confusing links that need to be clarified and explained.First,people's understanding of the concept of"frontier people"is not clear and unified,which leads to the problem of abused use of the concept of frontier people.Secondly,the definition of cross-border ethnic groups is unclear,bringing about disputed and ambiguous understanding on the relationship between ethnic groups and the majority group.Thirdly,attribute distinction between border people and cross-border ethnic groups in the study of cross-border ethnic relations should be clarified.
