跨学科视阈下动词研究新视野——《构建论元:动词论元结构的跨学科研究》述评

New Horizons of Studies of Verbs from an Interdisciplinary Perspective——A Review of Structuring the Argument:Multidisciplinary Research on Verb Argument Structure

论元结构作为动词的核心议题之一,一直是学界关注的焦点。动词论元结构映射的决定性因素是词汇本身,还是动词与论元的共现结构,亦或是独立于词汇和结构的其他独立性句法语义成分,是国外学界的热点议题之一;题元角色与表层句法位置以及生命性与题元角色的非典型对应关系是国外学界的又一重要议题;在人类语言加工模型的建构大行其道的背景下,建构动词论元结构的神经生物学模型成为神经语言学家和心理语言学家的重要追求。虽有不足,但在跨学科的研究方法成为主流、语言与人脑的关系以及语言的普遍性日趋受到关注的当下,《构建论元:动词论元结构的跨学科研究》仍旧是一本集方法之前沿性、理据之广泛性、内容之系统性于一身的扛鼎之作。同时,该书为汉语动词论元结构实证研究的开展提供了重要参考。

As one of central issues of verbs,argument structure has always been the focus of academic circles.It is one of the hot topics in foreign academic circles that the determinant of the mapping of verb arguments is the verb itself,the co-occurrence structure of verbs and arguments,or other independent syntactic and semantic components independent of vocabulary and structure.The noncanonical correspondence betweenθ-roles and the syntactic position in surface structures as well as between the animacy andθ-roles is another important topic in foreign academic circles.Against the background of the construction of processing models of human language,the construction of neurobiological models of the argument structure of verbs has become an important pursuit of neurolinguisticians and psycholinguisticians.Although it has some shortcomings,during a period when interdisciplinary research methods have become the mainstream,the relationship between language and human brain and the universality of language has been increasingly concerned,Structuring the Argument:Multidisciplinary Research on Verb Argument Structure is still a landmark work integrating the frontier of methods,the universality of rationale and the systematicness of content.At the same time,the book provides an important reference for the development of related empirical research in Chinese academic circles.
