万历元年浙江乡试的策题--论王守仁的孔庙从祀与浙江王门

The Question of Imperial Provincial Examination in Zhejiang in the First Year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty——On the Efforts of Wang Shouren's Being Enshrined for Worship in Confucius Temple and His Disciples in Zhejiang

万历十二年(1584)十一月王守仁从祀孔庙终于实现。王守仁从祀孔庙的议论,兴起于隆庆元年(1567),过程曲折,万历三年(1575)暂时停顿。在隆庆六年(1572)和万历元年(1573),王守仁的门人反复上奏请求从祀,刊行《王文成公全书》,积极地从事各种活动。万历元年,因以王畿为首的浙江本地门人的推动,在浙江乡试的第三场策问中,以王守仁从祀孔庙的议论出题,这是一个重要事件。该事件不仅体现了王门士人的努力,同时也反映了当时社会对于王守仁评价的复杂性。

In the 12th year of Wanli(1584)in the Ming Dynasty,Wang Shouren was finally enshrined for worship in Confucius Temple.This argument made its emergence in the first year of Longqing(1567)in the Ming Dynasty and witnessed a complicated process afterwards.In the 3rd year of Wanli(1575),it came to a temporary stop.In fact,in the 6th year of Longqing(1572)and the first year of Wanli(1573),disciples of Wang Shouren kept reporting to the throne for his being enshrined for worship in Confucius Temple through a variety of activities,such as the publishing of“The Complete Works of Wang Yangming”.In the first year of Wanli,due to the promotion launched by disciples in Zhejiang province led by Wang Ji,there was one question on the argument of Wang Shouren s being enshrined for worship in Confucius Temple in the third section of imperial provincial examination in Zhejiang,which was a critical event.On the one hand,it was a vivid reflection of efforts made by Wang s disciples;while on the other hand,it revealed the complexity of social reviews upon Wang Shouren at that time.
