Structure and Mechanical Properties of Electrospun PCL Fiber

摘要 通过控制静电纺丝过程的工艺参数,制备了聚己内酯纤维,使用扫描电子显微镜和原子力显微镜观察了纤维表面结构,电镜表征结果显示纤维表面存在不光滑的横向交错条纹特征,会对纤维力学性能造成影响。采用高精度拉伸设备和自制的弯曲装置对纤维在两种变形条件下的力学性能进行测量。实验数据显示纤维在拉伸载荷作用下的弹性模量呈离散分布特征,纤维的弹性模量与直径大小无关;而在弯曲实验中,随着纤维直径的减小,纤维的弹性模量呈现显著增大趋势,纤维力学性能表现出与纤维直径相关的尺度效应。两组实验条件下纤维力学性能表现形式不同的原因可能与纤维表面及内部的结晶形态有关。 Polycaprolactone(PCL)fiber was prepared by controlling the process parameters of electrospinning.The surface structure of PCL fiber was observed by scanning electron microscope and atomic force microscope.The microscope characterization showed that there were unsmooth transverse crisscross stripes on the fiber surface,which would affect the mechanical properties of the fiber.The mechanical properties of the fiber under two kinds of deformation conditions were measured by high precision drawing equipment and self-made bending device.The experimental data show that the elastic modulus of the fiber is discrete distribution under tensile load,and the elastic modulus of the fiber is independent to the fiber diameter.In bending experiment,the elastic modulus of the fiber increases significantly with the decrease of the diameter of fiber,and the mechanical properties of the fiber show the scale effect related to the diameter of the fiber.The reason for the different mechanical properties of the two groups of fibers may be related to the surface and internal crystalline morphology of the fibers.
