Streetscape Renewal: Designing Livable Urban Space

街道空间不仅承担着城市的交通功能,也曾经是人们主要的生活与交往空间。它是与老百姓关系最为密切的公共活动场所,也是城市历史文化记忆及当下市民文化的重要载体。街道空间还体现着城市的特色与活力,影响人们对城市的印象。然而,当今社会缺少对它的关注,导致街道功能混乱、缺少活动空间等问题愈发严重。通过发现城市街道空间目前存在的问题,提出街景重构五原则,通过对国内外优秀案例的研究分析以及亲身创作实践,指出未来城市街道空间的发展方向。

Street space not only provides the function of urban transportation,but also is the space where people mainly live and interact.It is an open place most closely related to citizens,and also an important carrier of the urban history culture and current citizen culture.The street space reflects the feature and vitality of the city,which affects people's impression of the city.However,the society lacks attention to it.There are serious problems on the street,like chaotic function of the street,limited open spaces,etc.This paper proposes the five principles of streetscape renewal by discovering the existing problems of urban street space,and points out the development direction of future urban street space through the research and analysis of excellent national and international cases and the author's own creation and practice.
