The reasons for the nonstandard installation of the GPS system was analyzed and rectified based on an accident of all equipment and systems in the whole station couldn′t be synchronized caused by the non-standard installation of the GPS system during the acceptance of a substation.The key points and points for attention in the installation of GPS system in substation were put forward.The installation problems in the installation process of GPS system were solved successfully and the installation quality of GPS system was improved.
