“一带一路”倡议下我国外语类高等院校本科专业设置现状研究——以八所外语院校为例

On Status Quo of Major Setting for Undergraduate Programs in Foreign Language Universities under the Belt and Road Initiative:Taking Eight Foreign Languages Universities as an Example

一带一路"倡议下,选取八所外语院校2017年本科专业设置的数据,依据《普通高等学校本科专业目录和专业介绍》对学科门类、专业类、专业种数分别进行统计分析,外语类院校整体上已从单一的外语学科向多学科院校发展,专业类正从人文社科的专业类向自然科学的专业类涉足,外语院校应在今后专业设置中明确定位,突出特色,以期为外语院校专业设置、学科建设提供参考。

Under the Belt and Road Initiative,this study has collected data on major setting in eight foreign language universities in 2017.Based on Catalogs of Majors for Undergraduate Programs in Institutes of Higher Education,statistical investigation has also been made on categories of disciplines,categories of majors and number of majors.Through such efforts,the study has discovered that foreign language colleges and universities have overall transformed themselves from only specializing in foreign language to multi-disciplinary ones,with majors spreading from Humanities and Social Science to Natural Science.Foreign language universities should be clearly positioned in major setting with highlighting features in the future.Therefore,the study can provide reference for major setting and discipline development of foreign language universities.
