随着蒙古帝国的崛起,连接东西方"丝绸之路"上的政治和交通障碍被扫荡一空,这个依靠战争建立起来的横跨欧亚大陆的超级帝国,却客观上成为连接东西方文化、科技、贸易的桥梁和纽带。三大技术发明在此时传入西方各国,为欧洲文明的进步作出了巨大贡献,同时西方的眼镜和蒸馏酒等技术以及天文学知识,也不同程度的促进了东方文明的进步和发展。

With the rise of the Mongol Empire,the political and transportation barriers linking the Silk Road between the East and the West were swept away,and the war-built super empire across Eurasia had objectively become bridges and ties of East and West culture,science and technology and trade.Three technological inventions were introduced into the western countries at this time,which made great contributions to the progress of European civilization.Meanwhile,the western technology such as glasses and distilled wine,as well as the knowledge of astronomy,also promoted the progress and development of the Eastern civilization in varying degrees.
