摘要
中国古诗中的意象是情感表达的重要载体,是具有沿袭意义的情感符号,如何在语际转换中表现意象的审美情感是中国古诗英译的难点和重点。本文从"异质同构说"和"民族文化心理"两个视角分别讨论了意象审美情感的生成和沿袭,并在此基础上针对不同类型的意象提出相应的跨文化阐释策略。对于意象翻译而言,最为关键的是要保留"意"(情感)和"象"(物象)之间的对应关系,为此,译者要根据诗歌所表达的情感决定在译入语中保留或改变原来的物象。
Images in classical Chinese poems are important carriers as well as symbols of emotions,passed from generation to generation among poets.It’s a challenging and important task for translators of classical Chinese poems to represent and recreate the aesthetic emotions of images cross-culturally.The perspectives of isomorphism and cultural mentality are employed to analyze the generation and transmission of aesthetic emotions of images,on the basis of which strategies are proposed to translate images of different types.The key to translating images is to maintain the corresponding relationship between a certain image and the emotion it evokes.Translators should therefore decide whether to retain or change the image in the target language according to the emotion expressed in the poem.
