摘要
现今全球图书馆都面临着巨量纸质文献"装不下"的问题。国内图书馆主要采用建造远程书库(普通闭架书库)和密集书库存储,而国外图书馆则广泛应用高密度自动化仓储库(ASRS仓储库)来解决这一问题。探讨了ASRS仓储库的工作原理,比较分析了远程书库、密集书库、ASRS仓储库的工作效率、藏书密度及建设成本,指出虽然ASRS仓储库建设成本略高于密集书库,但如果综合考虑土地成本和人力成本,ASRS仓储库的成本就不高了,再加上人力无法匹及的自动存取速度,ASRS仓储库势必会成为未来纸质文献存储的最佳选择。
Nowadays,libraries all over the world are faced with the problem of huge quantity of paper document which can not be stored in the library.In order to solve this problem,domestic libraries adopt two storage modes of remote stack(common closed stack)and compact stack,and foreign libraries widely use ASRS(automated storage and retrieval system).This paper probes into the working principle of ASRS,compares and analyzes the remote stack,compact stack and ASRS in terms of efficiency,collection density and construction cost,and points out that although the construction cost of ASRS is slightly higher than that of compact stack,the cost of ASRS is much more economical if the cost of land and manpower are taken into consideration,and coupled with the automatic access speed which human can not match,ASRS will become the best choice for the paper document storage.
