《织机之书——自古至今的手动织机史》一书自改革开放以来深刻地影响着中国古代纺织技术史的研究,成为国内学者研究世界织机史的经典之作,但多年来只有英文本,并无中译本,影响着纺织技术史后学的视野。同时,纺织技术史后学也需要与世界纺织技术史研究接轨,面临着积极探索向英文类国际刊物投稿的需求。系列文章以该书为基础,既对全书进行翻译,也对一些专业名词进行解读,还对纺织技术史英文写作进行探讨,以期使纺织技术史后学的论文写作尽快向国际纺织技术史研究接轨。

The Book of Looms-A History of the Handloom from Ancient Times to the Present,had profound influence on the research on the history of textile techology in ancient China since reform and opening up policy,and had become a classic for domestic scholars to research on the loom history of the world.But for many years,only English version but no Chinese version had been translated,this showed bad effect on young historians of textile technolgy.At the same time,young historians of textile technolgy also needed to integrate with the research of the history of world textile technology,there was a need for active exploration to contribute to international English journals.The series of articles will based on the book,not only translate the whole book,but also interpret some professional nouns and discuss the English writing of the history of textile technology in order to help young historians of textile technology.
