According to Wang Yangming’s philosophical system and calligraphy works,this article explores his process to change his styles in calligraphy.This kind of change actually discloses his reflection on a Confucian school of idealist philosophy of the Song and Ming Dynasties and meditation on the proposition of“knowledge”and“behavior”as well as“conscience”.As the development of his own philosophy his calligraphic style also varies from convergence to freedom.Wang Yangming wrote books with all his heart,so other people knew him from books.In this case,Wang Yangming’s calligraphic achievement transcend that of the artistic category.
