Chinese Scholarshipinthe Forty Years of Reformand Opening Up

以1978年12月召开的党的十一届三中全会为标志,我们党实现了新中国成立以来具有深远历史意义的伟大转折,中国进入了社会主义现代化建设新时期。改革开放是当代中国最鲜明的特色,是我们党在新的历史时期最鲜明的旗帜。40年来,我国哲学社会科学与改革开放和社会主义现代化建设事业一道前行,在中国特色社会主义事业的每个重要发展阶段,在改革开放的每个重要历史节点,哲学社会科学都作出了重要贡献。从党的思想路线的重新确立,到社会主义初级阶段理论的形成;从社会主义市场经济理论的提出和发展,到依法治国方略的制定和实施;从中华民族优秀文化的传承和弘扬,到人类文明优秀成果的交流和互鉴等,都凝聚着哲学社会科学领域专家学者们的智慧。在不断发展着的马克思主义理论指导下,我国哲学社会科学既是中国进入新的历史时期的助推者,同时又在新的历史时期增强了文化自信,获得了新生,走上了具有自己特色的发展和繁荣之路。为庆祝改革开放40周年,我们特邀中国社会科学院院长、党组书记、学部主席团主席、研究员谢伏瞻,中国社会科学院学部委员、研究员张卓元,中国社会科学院学部委员、研究员张宇燕,全国人民代表大会监察和司法委员会副主任委员、教授徐显明,上海大学教授李友梅,复旦大学教授朱立元,吉林大学教授孙利天,北京师范大学教授韩震分别撰文,从不同学术视角对40年来我国经济学、国际关系学、法学、社会学、文学、哲学等学科的发展状况,相关领域围绕重大理论和现实问题展开的主要讨论和争鸣进行梳理、作出概括,对40年改革开放实践进行学术解读和理论思考,力求从几个主要侧面反映40年来我国哲学社会科学走过的光辉发展历程。党的十八大以来,党和国家事业发生历史性变革,中国特色社会主义进入了新时代。在新的历史起点上,我们要始终坚持以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指导,更加自觉地立足中国、借鉴国外,挖掘历史、把握当代,关怀人类、面向未来,体现继承性、民族性,体现原创性、时代性,体现系统性、专业性,着力构建中国特色哲学社会科学,在学科体系、学术体系、话语体系等方面充分体现中国特色、中国风格、中国气派。

The third Plenary of the 11th Central Committeeof the Communist Party of China(CPC)in 1978 marked the Party’s realization of a historic transformation since the founding of new China:China had stepped into a new period of socialist construction.Reform and opening up is the distinctive feature of contemporary China and thedistinctivebanner of the Partyinthenew historicalera.Inthelast 40 years,Chinese philosophy and social sciences have marched alongside reform and opening up and the construction of socialist modernization.In every important stage of the task of building socialism with Chinese characteristics and every important historical juncture of reform and opening up,philosophy and the social sciences have made great contributions.From the reestablishment of the Party line in terms of thought to the modern formation of the theory of the preliminary stage of socialism;from the proposition and development of the theory of the socialist market economy to the formulation and implementation of the strategy of governing the country according to law;from handing on and enhancing the fine traditional culture of the Chinese people to exchanging and learning from the fine achievements of human civilization:all these embodythewisdomofexpertscholarsinthe fieldsof philosophy andthesocial sciences.Guided by constantly developing Marxist theory,Chinese philosophy and social sciences are not only assisting China5 s progress into the new historical period,but also strengthening cultural confidence,revitalizing the nation,and embarking on a road of development and prosperity with its own distinctive characteristics.
