The necessity and feasibility was analyzed about setting up mathematical modelling course in private colleges,points out some problems in the teaching of mathematical modeling.Combined with teaching reform practice,the corresponding solutions are given.By actively organizing students to participate in various mathematical modeling competitions and research activities,students′mathematical modeling ability and scientific research level are improved.
