Self-Evident Truth,Academy and Rights:A Review on Contentions Between Chinese and Japanese Delegates on Yosemite Conference of the Institute of Pacific Relations

中日代表在太平洋国际学会约塞米蒂会议上的论争主要集中在中日关系恶化的原因、日本阻挠中国统一与复兴、亚太集体安全等问题。中国代表的发言体现了国际关系准则、人类正义,维护了国家利益和民族尊严。日本代表则以军国主义为价值取向,极力为侵华政策辩护。中日代表在此次会议上的辩驳,体现了完全对立的国际政治理念与国家利益观。

At the Yosemite Conference of the Institute of Pacific Relations,Chinese and Japanese delegates contended over the underlying factors of deteriorating China-Japan relations,Japan’s obstructive role in China’s unification and rejuvenation,and Asia-Pacific collective security.China preserved its key interests and dignity in its speech highlighting both guiding principles of international relations and human justice;while the militarist Japan determined to justify its wars to China.Such contention unveiled two incompatible concepts on international politics and two outlooks on the national interest.
