Taiwan literature is closely related to politics.If the mainland Chinese men and women of letters are described as engaging in business,the Taiwan Residents men and women of letters must then be engaging in the‘Party’as one can gain access to the channel of Taiwan Residents literature via a political antenna.At present,Chinese culture faces a serious issue of being attached with little importance or even‘destroyed’.But if Hong Kong people refuse to identify with‘political China’,they never deny that they are Cantonese or Chinese people.As a result,Hong Kongese literature and Taiwan Residents literature are overlapped,with a relationship of mutual support.Macao literature distinguishes itself by its native literature without anything like the kind of‘Literature of99’as people in Hong Kong rushed into en masse.If one engages in scholarship,one’d better deal with history on one’s own.In addition,one ought not to superstitiously believe in famous universities and famous journals as there are third-rate professors in first-rate universities and first-rate professors in third-rate universities the same way first-rate journals may carry third-rate articles and vice versa.
