BIMP-EAGA The Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area(BIMP-EAGA)is playing a growing role in promoting China-ASEAN cooperation.It was launched in 1994 as an initiative for sub-regional economic cooperation inside ASEAN,aiming to accelerate economic development in areas that are geographically distant from their national capitals,yet in strategic proximity to each other,by synergizing resources and markets.
