55 Hudson Yards synthesizes the contemporary,sleek forms of Manhattan’s new megadevelopment with the industrial roots of its immediate environs.Given the site’s particular constraints,KPF followed a bottom-up design approach,focusing on seminal building details that would apply to the tower’s vocabulary and offer contextual significance.The result is a simple yet elegant evocation of the industrial roots of the neighboring Meatpacking District.
