随着丝绸之路的兴起,各种商贸活动在这条古道上蓬勃开展,中国古代货币也随之被带到境外流通使用,起到了类似于国际货币的重要作用,推动了商贸活动的顺利进行,促进了沿线各国的商贸、经济的发展和社会文化的交流,并在此过程中逐渐产生了钱币文化。这种钱币文化随同商品贸易的流通而与丝绸之路两端的东方中华文化、西方的希腊罗马文化,以及丝路沿线两侧的印度文化、伊斯兰文化彼此传播、互相影响、彼此交融,对东西方的社会经济文化发展都起到了重要的推动作用,形成了广泛和深远的影响。

With the rise of the Silk Road,various commercial activities flourished along this ancient road,and the ancient Chinese currency was brought into circulation abroad.It played an important role similar to international currency,promoting the smooth progress of commercial activities and enhancing the development of trade,economic,social and cultural exchanges of the countries along the road.In the process,coin culture gradually emerged.Along with the circulation of commodity trade,this kind of coin culture,along with the eastern Chinese culture at both ends of the Silk Road,the western Greek and Roman culture,as well as the Indian culture and Islamic culture on both sides of the Silk Road,had been spreaded,influencing and blending with each other.It had played an important role in promoting the socio-economic and cultural development of the East and the West,forming a wide and far-reaching impact.
