A Probe into the Foundations of Literature as Therapy

在黑格尔提出"艺术终结论"之后,关于艺术(文学)本质的讨论似乎变得暧昧起来,这一"不合时宜"的声音曾致文学艺术于怎样尴尬的境地。然而,在医学如此发达的今天,为什么还要有文学治疗?正因为在人的生存过程中文学仍然发挥着巨大的精神生态作用。在某种程度上,文学艺术家是直接充当起精神保健医师的角色的,并且为现代精神医学的建立和发展提供某种治疗经验和治疗案例。可以说,现代心理学、精神分析学的兴起完全得益于文学艺术的恩赐。

Hagel’s“the end of art”theory presents a new perspective on the nature of art,including literature.This article explores the foundations of literature therapy in the present medically advanced world.It argues that literature plays a critical role in“acting as spiritual ecology”in people’s lives in the development of humanity.Thus writers and artists,to a certain degree,take up the role of psychotherapist and present cases and experience for the establishment and development of modern psychologic medicine.It can be concluded that the art of literature bestowed the flourishing of modern psychology and psychoanalysis.
