《赖柏英》中闽南文化负载词的翻译除了传递乡愁乡情外,更是一种地域文化的对外传播。林语堂根据目标读者对源文化的理解程度,灵活采用音译、音译+阐释、直译、直译+阐释等杂合的翻译策略,对归化和异化进行综合应用,实现两种异质文化的共生和融合。杂合翻译策略的运用使得《赖柏英》中闽南文化的传输既能让外国读者接受,又能尽量保留区域文化信息,为弱势文化与强权文化的有效沟通提供了积极的借鉴。

The translation of Minnan culture-loaded words in Juniper Loa is meant not only to convey Lin’s homesickness,but more importantly to transfer the native culture.His strategy is based on the understanding of the target readers about the source culture and is a combination of alienation and domestication,also known as hybridity strategy,including transliteration,transliteration+explanation,literal translation,literal translation+explanation etc.The cultural transition in Juniper Loa is acceptable to the foreign readers and,at the same time,has contained the regional culture and represented Minnan culture to the largest extent,which provides meaningful reference for the communication between the powerful culture and the weak culture.
