“Disciplinary Consciousness” and “Chinese School”: a Review of 2018 Chinese Art Anthropology Symposium

2018年中国艺术人类学学术研讨会于2018年9月25至27日在南京召开,此次会议标志着中国艺术人类学已发展到学科自觉阶段,而中国艺术人类学研究者的未来任务就是通过发掘、认识和重建自己的艺术和文化的脉络,去建构一个属于自己的,能够得到国际学术界承认的中国学派。随着中国艺术人类学研究者队伍的日益活跃与壮大,曾经被认为是无足轻重的"艺术"研究,必定会在相关学术界乃至整个社会发展与国家建设中起到举足轻重的作用。

2018 Chinese art anthropology symposium was held in Nanjing from September 25th to 27th which marks Chinese art anthropology has entered the phase of disciplinary consciousness and the future task for Chinese art anthropologists is to construct their own Chinese school to gain acknowledged by the international academic circle by exploring,understanding and reconstructing their own framework of art and culture.The“art”study once considered insignificant is bound to play an important role in the relevant academia and even in the whole social development and national construction with the increasingly active and strong growth of the researchers in Chinese art anthropology.
