In this paper,the key elements of Xuan paper production,Xuan paper s characteristics and the development and inheriting of its technology were discussed and summarized.High-quality raw materials,clear water sources,good geographical environment,special traditional skills are the indispensable conditions for making Xuan paper.The characteristics of Xuan paper is closely related to the special fiber material and production process.For further development of Xuan paper,the traditional skills must organically integrate with modern technology.Thus,the traditional technology of Xuan paper will be effectively protected and inherited.
