摘要 内容依托式教学(CBI)有别于传统的语言教学,它不是围绕语言大纲而是围绕学生即将学习的内容或信息来组织教学。这种教学模式给任课教师带来了新的挑战,同时也为教师提供了很好的发展机遇。在内容依托式教学和教师发展理论框架下开设《英国概况》课程对大学英语教师的专业发展具有重要意义。课程表明CBI能够提升教师的专业素养,帮助教师获得学科知识、促进批判性思维和任务设计,以及形成自己的教学风格。 Content-based Instruction(CBI)is different from the traditional language teaching.In a CBI classroom teaching does not center around a linguistic syllabus,but around the content or information that students will acquire.This teaching approach brings new challenges to language teachers,and at the same time provides a good opportunity for teacher development.Conducting a content-based course such as Survey of the United Kingdom within the theoretical framework of CBI and teacher development is of great significance to the professional development of college English teachers.This course indicates that CBI helps teachers enhance professional qualities,acquire subject knowledge,improve critical thinking and task design,and form their own teaching style.
