In the process of highway engineering construction,the project design stage is the most important stage of cost control of the whole pro-ject.Cost control in the design stage is beneficial to rationally control funds,allocate resources and improve project efficiency during the construc-tion process.In this regard,this paper analyzes the current situation of cost control in the design stage of highway engineering,analyzes the rele-vant measures of project cost control in the design stage of highway engineering project,and discusses how to realize the cost control in the design stage of highway engineering construction.
