摘要
钍(232Th)作为一种潜在的增殖燃料,长期以来仅作为其他矿产资源开采的废渣而未得到合理利用,国内外对钍在原位增殖—焚烧(Breed-and-Burn,B&B)堆芯中物理性能的研究较少。本文以金属钍作为反应堆的核燃料,给出了一种新型长寿命堆芯的配置方案。该堆芯在寿期内无需停堆换料,且达到平衡态后能自稳临界运行而无需反应性控制系统。研究表明,理论上钍燃料可以实现B&B模式,其开环模式具备极高的核燃料利用效率。
Thorium is an important potential feed fuel,but there are only a few results about its Breed-and-Burn(B&B)capability.In this research,thorium was taken as the feed fuel of a reactor core,and a newly long life core design was proposed.During the life time of the core,there is no need for fuel reload and control rods when the core reaches equilibrium state.The results showed that the thorium-based fuel can establish a B&B mode of operation with very high fuel efficiency.
