The differential protection may cause malfunction in the reason of inrush current in no-load condition of large transformer.Based on the reasons and phenomena about remanence generating,the paper discusses and analyzes characteristics of inrush current and causes for the differential protection malfunction.In the end,the article introduces some precautions for protection malfunction.
