摘要
《名利场》中两位女主角爱米莉亚和莉贝嘉命运不同,反映出来的是两个人面对爱情和婚姻的不同心态与观点。她们两个人两种极端的性格对于展现资本主义赤裸裸的物质爱情观,有着惨烈而直观的效果,让读者看到了物质至上的社会中阶层之间的不可逾越的鸿沟,更折射出资本主义社会名利场中女性的命运。
The different fates of the 2 leading female characters Amelia and Rebecca in the novel Vanity Fair reveal their different attitudes towards love and marriage.The opposing personality of these2characters demonstrates the materialist love value in a capitalist society.It shows the insurmountable gap among different classes in a materialist society and the fate of females in the upper class of a capitalist society.
