An Analysis of the Religious Work in Henan Province in the 1950s

20世纪50年代,河南宗教界局面十分复杂,河南省在宗教工作方面进行了积极有益的尝试与探索,通过全面布局和重点突破,清理宗教界与西方社会和传统社会的旧时关系,引导宗教界独立自主自办宗教,并培养了一批具有宗教工作经验的干部,为之后的宗教工作建设做出了准备。

In the1950s,the situation of religious affairs in Henan province was very complicated.Active and beneficial attempts and explorations in religious affairs were made in Henan.Trough comprehensive layout and key breakthroughs,the old-time relationship among religions in Henan and Western society and traditional societies were cleaned up,self-organizing religion independently was guided,and a group of cadres with experience in dealing with religious affairs were trained,prepared for the later construction of religious work.
