文化自信从理论上来讲,是指文化主体经过对作为客体的文化进行认知、批判、比较和反思等过程后,形成的对自身文化生命力的肯定和认同。外国文学研究是中国文化价值体系中重要的内容,如何进行外国文学研究,以何种方式处理外国文学与中国文学之间存在的矛盾,我们该怎样从外国文学中汲取自身发展的养料等问题,都与现今提倡的文化自信息息相关,处理好两者之间的关系,对于本民族的文学发展具有极其重要的意义。

In theory,cultural self-confidence refers to the affirmation and recognition of cultural vitality formed by cultural subjects after they have cognized,criticized,compared and reflected on the culture as the object.Foreign literature research is an important content in Chinese cultural value system.How to carry out foreign literature studies,how to deal with the contradiction between foreign literature and Chinese literature,and how to get development nutrients from foreign literature,are closely related to the cultural self-confidence advocated currently.It is significant for the national literature development to deal with the relationship.
