In the history of contemporary Chinese literature,the educated youth novel is a literary peak which cannot be easily bypassed.Since the1980s and.1990s,a large number of masterpieces reflecting the life of educated youth have been created throughout the country.However few literary works are there that reflect the life of educated youth in the Central Plains.Tuohe Memory is a rare one.The novel establishes a monument to the educated youth in the Central Plains,It shapes the image of that generation of educated youth and writes a pastoral song for them,which represents the common historical memory of the educated youth in the Central Plains.
